Car air con controls

Manufacturers recommend that your air con is recharged every 2 years.

Air con cool air iconServicing your air conditioning regularly will help prevent seals and pump failure.

It can also help with fuel economy as there is less stress on your engine if the air conditioning is working at its optimum.

The first sign that your air-con needs recharging is that the air being blown from the vents is not as cool as it used to be, or it doesn’t feel any different when the air conditioning is switched off. If your air-con isn’t blowing as cold as it should, the first step should be a re-gas.

We will remove the old refrigerant gas from the system and replace it with new refrigerant.

If there are no leaks, then cool!

If there are any issues then we can test your air-con system and usually find the leaks there and then, in some cases we may have to add an ultraviolet dye into the system so that we can then trace the leak and advise you of the repairs necessary.

As your AC is not checked as part of your MOT test and re-gassing is not typically included in your service, it is important to make sure that you include recharging as part of your regular vehicle maintenance routine.
